I built my pc about a year ago, and around 3 months after I built it, it started shutting itself down after playing certain games. No bluescreen, it would just shut itself off. Around 3 weeks ago, my computer started shutting itself off more frequently, and now I can't play any games on it. I bought a new PSU thinking that was the problem and it still doesn't work. I also did a complete system restore and still not working. My temperatures are all fine. It also has this weird beep code where it beeps rapidly like 9 times and then restarts itself, and the only way to make it stop is to hold down the power button. I'm really at a loss, please help me guys

What exact psu did you buy and what are your other components? Also, specify load and idle temps for cpu and gpu separately. Thanks!

Ok I just put all the info into the thread, thanks. Not able to try load temps because my computer would shut off most likely, but when I tried them before they weren't much higher

Very quality components there. At first, noone would suspect at them, but we have to be absolutely sure.

Lets diagnose according to the symptoms. Computers usually shut down all by themselves for 2 reasons: they are either overheating, or power supply is failing.

First, clean all heatsinks from dust. On both cpu and gpu.

Second, this psu is of very good quality, but even the best components can fail. I would borrow a quality psu from a friend and try with it.

Also, sir, what cpu cooler are you using? 2500k can be overclocked quite high, so i certainly hope that you didnt try that with stock cooler, as it could overheat in a matter of seconds this way. Even if you dont overclock, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO is recommended. Quite cheap also, at 30 usd.

The final thing you should do is pull out this graphics card and try with any other. Even the cheapest, slowest you can find. I would recommend to monitor its temps, but since you have no time to do that, we can only try this.
