Hey all, I currently own Sennheiser 518 HD headphones. The audio jack in my HP Envy 17j has chipped (right side is chipped, left side still all there) I was wondering what's the best USB device I could buy under $100 to get the best sound out of my headpones? Obviously need the USB device to support a 3.5mm plug in because that is what my headphones support. Would appreciate the answers, saw the Logitech one but was wondering if there was anything better!

Thanks!

- Lou (Happy 4th to all!)

Solution

It's a USB male device. You plug the USB end into the female USB port on your laptop. The device has two female 3.5mm ports -- one for mic, and one for audio. You plug your 3.5mm male audio from your headphones into the one for audio. The headphones don't have mic so you won't end up using it.
