Hi All,
I'm looking to do a clean install of Windows 7, and get rid of my laptop's RAID system in the process. I don't really need it, and I'm pretty sure getting rid of it would free up space on my HDD/SSD to install Linux on...Is it possible to do a clean install of Windows and remove the RAID system at the same time? I know very little about RAID, I just know that my laptop came with it.
Thanks!

Yes, you should be able to do a clean reinstallation and turn off RAID in the bios just before you start, select AHCI SATA mode. Make sure to back up your data as it will all be lost otherwise. Take a look at your laptop manual for specific instructions on where in the bios you need to go, it varies a bit by model.
