I have a Zalman MS1000 HS2 case and would like to convert the HS200 hot swap pcbs to sata III (currently only supports sata I and II). Does anyone have any ideas what mods I need to make to the circuit board? Zalman support have been no help and when I connect my sata III raid drives the array breaks. Am happy to break out my soldering iron or cut pcb tracks but haven't a clue where to start! Many thanks, Paul.

Solution
SATA 3 comes down to the electrical performance of the PCB tracks. There's probably not much you can do.

However, most drives have a jumper that allows you to force them to a slower speed.
