Hello

I am going to buy a new video card

I searched in the internet , and i found these cards, but i can not decide

1- Sapphire R9 290 4GB Tri-X OC

2- MSI GTX 770 TF OC 4GB GDDR5

3- MSI GTX 780 TF 3GB 3GD5/OC

I like playing ( watch dogs , bf4 , gta , the witcher…… )

I will play on 1080 resolution but after 2 months i will buy 1440 resolution screen

My friend told me the r9 290 has a high temperature and bad fps !!!

I do not know if it is true :/ but i do not think so

And i think the msi gtx 780 tf is expensive

What do you advise me ?

I am sorry for my bad English :(

Well the 780 is a bus of a card. I would personally stay away from AMD because it runs very hot. If your interested there are a ton of benchmarks and videos for the 780 online that show it tackling today's current games at 1080p and 1440p. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gB9-eIPLzM)

I run 2x Shapphire R9 290 vapor x in crossfire; top card gets to max 80 degree C at 50% fan speed while running furmark. however if there is no overclocking, imo the 780 is the better card.

Edit: Also there is nothing wrong with the r9 290, I've not faced the problems your friend has even before i bought my second card.

If you can afford the 780, go with that. ... 780 > R9 290 (slightly worse, but the Tri-x is a good cooler and will let you OC easily) > 770.
