I'm looking to convert to the PC Master Race and get my first PC, but I have a budget of $500 -$700. If possible I would like to have the budget closest to $600 as possible. I don't want a beginner's PC, I want a PC that would possibly be able to run Battlefield 4 at around medium settings. If not then DayZ at medium to high settings. Since I'm new to this, I have no idea how to build a good PC so I decided to come to you guys. I'm hoping you guys could help me out on this. Here's my build so far...

CPU: AMD FX-6350 3.9GHz 6-Core Processor $129.99
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing $29.98
Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX AM3+ $127.98
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 $74.99
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $52.91
Video Card: XFX Radeon R7 260X 2GB Core Edition $105.98
Case: Thermaltake VL80001W2Z ATX Mid Tower $24.99
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX $19.99
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer $16.98
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro $69.99

Any help would be much appreciated and if you have any solutions on cutting costs would help a lot as well.

Yes, both of them should be capable of running the games you mentioned on high settings.

I hate to ask this again but would it be able to run the games at the settings I said?

well the GPU is unchanged really, just a CPU change from i5 to i3
Only time you'll notice is in games that really need those extra two cores (and HT in Haswell is a lot better so it makes up for more of it than before)

BF4 single player is pretty light

However, in MP 64 man the i3 won;t do as well as i5 but should handle it nicely regardless

If you bought your own copy of Windows 7 and installed it onto that laptop, you can remove it and reuse your product key for the new computer. If you bought the laptop with Windows already on it, no, unfortunately it is tied to that computer and cannot be transferred.
