So my girlfriend has recently been staying over has been connecting fine, until last night.

Now the connection is intermittent at best, not connected at worst. It seems to come and go.

I thought it was a problem with the dns, so i set the dns to the one on the router and opendns. No go.

Tried using the ipconfig the commands to forget/renew the ip address
Uninstalled and reinstalled the wireless network adapters.

I should note, this doesnt happen with the ethernet connection, just wireless

Resetting does nothing. Windows diagnostic does not know what's going on.

I'm connected through a router using dynamic ip. Using a set DNS server doesnt work.

using the ipconfigs commands, forgetting and renewing ip address doesnt work.

Clearing DNS doesnt work.

Uninstalling and reintalling the network adapters didnt do anything.

Kind of clueless at this point

Solution
start with the wifi router see if it having issues. if it has a password turn it off for now for testing see if the pc or laptop connects better. if not try setting the router to b/g speeds see if the router wifi radio went bad or the laptop radio. if it a laptop turn the laptop off and see if the wifi card still locked in. if it is and the issue still there. if your using a comcast wifi router/modem. see if they turned on wifi hotspot on you.

if they did you may have leachers.
the other issue could be someone has a new wireless phone or a friend got the same router as you and there both on the same channel. go into the router and change the channel from...
