q6600 in 2014 Does the shoe fit?

How is and will q6600 hold for 2014-2016 period? I usually play WoT and some strategy games , FPS(sniper elite 2 because of the story) , and legendary ,epic ,unique TES series.
I play at 1050p on monitor and 768p on TV with a 7770 no ssd yet.

My old q6600@3.4 + 8GB RAM + HD5850 can handle Skyrim 1080p + some HD mods at 25-50 frames/s. But in much more modern games I have to put settings to medium. Your 7770 is a weaker GPU than my 5850, maybe you can put a gtx760 combined with a good CPU overclocking. Maybe you cannot be able to play at full detail in games, but it could be a great improvement.

Yes I know you don´t have it, but I was telling you my experience with my old computer like an example. If I can hanle some actual games at 1080p, probably you can too at 1050p or much better at 768p, but with other GPU. Usually games are more GPU dependant than CPU.
