location is not available unable to open the storage device

I have a 4 GB SD card, I'm unable to open my SD card as soon as I plug my SD card to my PC. It shows the following error!
"You need to format the disk in drive H before you can use it and when I click on cancel it says "H drive is not accessible"

Please help me out! I'm having a lot of useful data stored in it! I don't want to lose it!

What file format is it. If you don't know, just check the disk manager. What was the original device that it was in? Also you might want to try using a different reader. Minitool has a partition recovery that may be able to help recover the partition if that is the cause of the not being able to be opened. Respond back please.
