I have a Windforce 760 and i attempted to overclock the card beyond 1241mhz (actual boost speed after GPU boost). I have set my power target to max and i have even adjusted my voltage from 1.2-1.212 and seems to have no improvement. I overclocked memory to 6300mhz . As I wasn't concerned to overclock the memory further. I am currently concerned about the core clock.

My specs:

Asus gryphon tuff series z87
i5 4670k
corsair vengeance 1866 2x4gb
seasonic 850w gold psu
bitfenix prodigy m with all fan places being utilized, as my case runs very cool

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Also i changed my power supply recently cause my old 1000w as making some annoying sounds and i thought maybe id be safe then sorry, then to fry my components. I also thought that maybe the old psu was causing fluctuations in voltage, possibly disrupting my overclock.
Clearly wasnt the case here. My card crashes any clock above 1241mhz using heaven benchmark.

I also have run into an issue with my processor not wanting to overclock beyond 4.1ghz stable. Even raised voltage to 1.25v on cpu. I didnt feel comfortable or satisfied at that voltage even at that clock, So i left it at 4.0ghz
Im beginning to think that my board is at fault here...
My old computer wasnt such a pain to overclock as this one.

As they stated "in game frequency of 1300mhz" after gpu boost. Frequency set on boost was 1235. I'm just wondering if I just happened to get a "dud" as far as Overclocking goes. I'm very satisfied with the gtx 760 performance... However from results I personally read. It appeared the average was a bit higher.

My core/boost = 1124/1189 GPU boost brings it up to 1241mhz anything after causes artifacts and eventually crashes as a result.

If you use the same methodology - overclock in steps and test till failure then go back to the last good setting - then you've done all you can do.

Me? I don't like to overclcok anything and leave it like that. I do it for curiosity. That's all. I like the idea of my cpu and graphics cards lasting a long time.
