I tried to boot Win 7 from a USB flash drive. I'm getting a message " required drivers not found". I only have the USB3.0 ports and no USB 2.0 ports. And my notebook doesn't have a CD drive slot also. And my hard disk is brand new with no previous OS. . Is there any way to install the OS?

But, I'm getting a message that Required drivers are not found. I looked into the other threads. They're like, USB 3.0 ports won't be detected in the BIOS. Try USb 2.0 port. But in my notebook, USB 2.0 is damaged and not working.. So i'm cornered now..

I don't think that would make a difference. Are you sure the operating system is installed correctly on the flash drive?

Actually it does -- windows loads USB 3 drivers as it loads but USB3 ports are not natively supported by the BIOS on most MOBOs - so I believe the USB 3 ports can not be used until after windows is loaded. -- @OP - If your USB 2 ports are broken the easiest fix would be to get an PCI add on card (if you have a PCI slot on the MOBO for about $5 -- to use for installing the OS then remove it afterwards and keep in case you need to reload later.) - ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2C50XW3440&cm_re=USB_addon_card-_-17Z-0009-00005-_-Product )
