With the lower cache available for the i3 4150, I'm wondering how much it would affect performance in games or encoding.

The price increase of the 4330 from the 4150 is £10 and for an increase in cache size alone I don't know what difference it would make.

Any ideas? Any advice on a good Mobo+CPU(+cooler) for around £150?

the i3 4150 has a high clock speed than the 4330, however it only has a HD 4400 iGPU and 3MB cache.
The i3 4330 has a lower clock speed than the 4150 but has HD 4600 igpu and 4MB cache.

The cache will only speed things up that are cpu intensive like rendering and mining.
However, if your gaming with the igpu then the i3 4330 would be better because of it's more powerful gpu.

But if your gaming with a discrete gpu then the i3 4150 would be the best.

oops, I guess I missed that lol.

If your purely gaming with a descrete graphics card, then I would recommend going (if your on a budget) to a i3 4130 then just use the money to get a better gpu.
