I have a problem with playing games online on my 3DS and with my pc like playing project m online with friends or getting an open nat type on ps3 etc. And this is because of my router because it cant portforward ports correctly and upnp doesnt work. So i want to buy a 2nd router and use it as a second access point! Would this fix my problems? Thanks!

Well what I would suggest is buying a new router, like a Netgear R7000 Nighthawk and using it alone. It has an up to date network stacka nd has some of the best wireless performance in the industry. Unless you tell me there are areas where after installing this you can get wireless coverage there is no need to use an access point. If there is (and with the range of the R7000 I find it unlikely as I live in a 3000sq ft range and the R7000 covers it completely) you could use your old router as an access point by turning off DHCP, setting a fixed lan adress outside of the Netgear DHCP range and connecting and ethernet cable to one of its lan ports.

I cant replace my old router because it's an router and modem in 1. And my isp will only replace it if something happens with it. They will not replace it with my reasons.
