Is this CPU retail with heat sink fan or just an OEM one?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00K5J22GG/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1HPSSEGA24ARC1NAXSG4&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=455344027&pf_rd_i=468294

Here is the cpu I was planning on buying. However I cannot tell whether or not if this a retail version or OEM. Any thoughts?

More about cpu retail heat sink fan oem
  1. Hello... the BX in the Code indicates retail Box Fan/Heatsink BX80646I54590
  2. If it comes in an official Intel box, it is retail and ships with a HSF included.

OEM CPUs are shipped to retailers naked on plastic trays and retailers who resell those have to throw together their own packaging such as loose in an anti-static bag thrown in a box filled with packing paper/peanuts.
  3. Seems pretty retail to me, especially since the source is from Intel itself. It is also dispatched and the order is fulfilled by Amazon.
  4. All intel boxed oem cpus come with a standard stock intel heatsink. IF you don't like that, the evo 212+ is great.

    "boxed OEM" ?

A "boxed" CPU comes in an official Intel box with HSF and Intel-branded tamper-proof seals.

An OEM CPU is shipped naked on ESD-safe trays in lots of 1000 by Intel to distributors, no heatsink included. Retailers who choose to sell OEM chips have to cook up their own generic packaging and source their own heatsinks if they sell the CPU as part of a system.

Sorry it's late and sleep deprivation makes me feel drunk, but yeah, you are right. I just meant standard boxed intel cpu.
