I have a newly built pc that has an interesting problem I can't seem to find anywhere else. After initially putting everything together the computer booted normally, but after I connected a USB keyboard and mouse the computer shut off. I completely deconstructed the computer and reconstructed it to no avail. The computer refuses to start and I'm starting to get worried.

PSU - CX430M
Motherboard - Msi B85I
RAM - 8gb Ballistix low profile
Case - Cooler Master 110 Elite
CPU - Intel i3
Graphics Card - GeForce 750ti

I've already worked through the troubleshooting guide on this site and would appreciate any help!

Can you take the parts out of the case and assemble things on/around the box of the motherboard?
First start only with the cpu and see if it beeps,if it does put i stick of ram in and see again and so on.I assume you connected the motherboard speaker ...

Looking that you have to power down every time will it take a while, but maybe this way you can see which component may be the one that prevents the pc to start.

You could also first just a green and black wire on the 24pin of the psu too see if the fan will spin, this way you can check if the psu at least gives power. You can use a paperclip for that or something else like that.

If i found the right motherboard do you have a jumper for that,it should be in between the pcie slot and the cpu socket near the two capacitors and that choke that is next to them.To clear the cmos would you take the pc completely of the powert,->power cable out of the wall socket, and connect the two pins for about 5 seconds.
The other way is to again take the pc of the power and take the battery of the motherboard for about 15min. after that putting it back again.

You say power button which means all is still in the case.Do it like i told and short the two pins that the power button is connected to to power the components outside the case.Use a flathead screwdriver for connecting these two pins.

Ohhhhhhh. Thank you for clarifying that, haha. I completely blanked on that. I'll get back to you (much) later on how that works out. Thank you for your advice and support!
