Sorry, i realize i should have given more information in my original post.

I have rebooted the whole system. Computers and all. Only one computer is having this problem. Everything else connects to the internet fine.

Ive rebooted the modem, router and computer.
It is connected wirelessly.
No idea if its a static or dynamic ip.
The modem is also a wireless router, but i have a netgear wnr2000 router connected and this is what i primarily use for wireless.
When this issue occurred i did try to connect to the modems wireless connection and had the same result.

ok. first lets make sure it has nothing to do with your wireless network card... connect the pc to the router physically with an ethernet cable. if you still don't get network access...

you're gonna have to
hit the windows key
type services into the search box
hit enter
in the services windows look for DNS Service
make sure it's status is "started" and "automatic"
if it's not, right click on it and start it manually, then change how it starts to "automatic"

check and see if you have internet access then.

and hard wiring it in doesn't help...
and every other device has net access...
not many things left could cause this...

we need to make sure you're not connecting through a proxy.
go to control panel -> internet options -> connections tab -> lan settings
make sure it's set to automatically detect settings (un-check use a proxy server IF that option is selected)

Then lets flush your dns cache, and release your ip...

hit the windows key
type cmd hit enter
type ipconfig /flushdns hit enter

now we'll release and renew your ip adress
type ipconfig /release
type ipconfig /renew

you can close the command prompt box now
see if you got net access.
