Hello, today I got a laptop from a friend. My intention was to install Windows 7, the laptop had Linux. I've done many things and I arrived at this GNU GRUB version 0.97. My Windows 7 is on a USB-bootable stick and I don't know how to boot it from GNU GRUB. Can someone help me?

Set your BIOS to boot from the USB. Windows will overwrite the grub boot loader with its own boot loader.

From a windows computer use the official USB creation tool to make a bootable windows USB install disk.

If you still can't boot then something else is wrong. GRUB has nothing to do with booting a USB drive..
