I just upgraded my PC and I'm having problems starting up Windows 7.

My old specs:
Mobo: ASUS ROG Striker II Extreme
CPU: intel core 2 quad q9650
Graphics Card: ASUS ATI Radeon HD4800 Series

New Specs:
Mobo: AsRock Fatal1ty H97 Performance
CPU: Intel Core i7 4790 LGA1150 3.6ghz
Graphics Card: ASUS GTX770-DC2OC-2GD5

I haven't chaged my power supply and RAM:
RAM: kingston 8gb ddr3 1333mhz
Power supply: Thermaltake Toughpower 600W

My problem now is, that every time I try to start my computer it gets to the Windows 7 loading screen and after a few seconds my monitor shows a "No Signal" message, but my computer will still be running, until I have to shut it down by holding the powerbutton.

I already upgraded to the new system and I've also Installed all drivers.
But as soon as I installed the graphics driver, from the Geforce homepage and restarted my computer I started to encounter this problem.

Sorry if my English is bad I hope you understand my problem.

P.s I didn't have this problem with my old specs.

Solution
OK I've solved it somehow...
Here is what I did.

1. Started Windows in safemode.

2. Deinstalled the videodriver from my computer.

3. Used Display Driver Uninstaller to remove the rest.

4. a) Stopped Windows to install drivers automaticly by going to "Devices and Printers". Right clicked on my PC and then I selected "Device Installation Settings". In the window I chose "No, let me choose what to do" -> Never install driver software form Windows Update.
b) Then I went to the start menu and typed in the search box gpedit.msc. Under "Computer Configuration"
-> "Administrative Templates" -> "System" -> "Device Installation", I clicked on "Restrictions Prevent installation of devices not described by other policy settings" and enabled...

i would check all the connections on the board first. Take out your RAM and clean the gold plated area on it and try again. If it still doesn't work, give a proper bios update to your motherboard. If nothing helps you out, you have check your pc with different psu and RAM sticks.

I've checked the connections as well as the RAM, but it didn't help.
Then I updated my BIOS version form 1.10 to the only newer version 1.30. But the result was the same.
I couldn't try another Power supply, because I don't have another one lying around.

I dont think it's the RAM because if I enter my UEFI everything shows up properly. I've also tried putting them in the A2 and B2 Slot, but it didn't help.

Looks like I need a new PSU...

just give a try with single RAM sticks 2 times, using another stick next time. Well if that doesn't solve the issue, you can go for new psu and make sure you get the right one for your graphics card. Good luck :)

Hey! I ran into a similar problem trying to install Windows 7 on a newly built PC. I tried everything but got the same weird no signal on my monitor.

I ended up trying to install windows 8 and it worked perfectly on my first try with one stick of RAM. It may work with two but I never tried. Hope this helps!

5. After that i downloaded an older driver from the Geforce homepage. the First three drivers didn't work (340.43 Beta, 337.88 WHQL, 337.50 Beta). After trying the fourth one I got the same result, but I decidet to just leave my PC and wait. After about 10 minutes I had a signal again !

Then I restarted my computer four times and on the fifth time the monitor didn't lose connection at all.

I don't know why this happened, but now it works :D

Are you sure you didn't do anything else, as that is some fluke to get it to work, I am still getting the same problem and have tried everything you have suggested and more!

To cut a long story short it was the refresh rate.
The driver selects the native resolution at 60hz as soon as it installed.
My tv supposedly supports 60hz but would only work when I plugged in another monitor and turned the tv down to 30hz.
