I started my PC today and when I got to my desktop, the mouse and keyboard didnt work. The lights on both were also off but my mic and mixamp were still lit up. Mouse and keyboard are plugged into motherboards USB 3 ports, mic is plugged into Motherboards USB 2, and mix amp is plugged into front pannel USB 2. I forgot to check and see if my PS/2 keyboard was working because I have it tucked away for when I need the BIOS.
This has happened in the past, about 6-8 months ago, when I restarted after it happened then, Razer Synapse had an error. At that time, both my mouse and keyboard were plugged into the front pannel. This time I cant find Synapse at all. I am not using my Razer mouse any more since I replaced it with a Corsair and have been meaning to uninstall synapse but I havent yet.
As much as I would love to write this off as Razer Synapse nuking itself, I would like to know if there are any other causes, just to be on the safe side.
Mobo: Gigabyte Z87X-D3H
Mouse: Corsair M65 (In use)
Mouse: Razer DeathAdder (not plugged in)
Keyboard: Micro Innovations something or other that Ive owned for 10 years.
