Hi I have two friends that are selling me graphics cards, one friend is selling me his old GTX 560 for $100 while the other is selling me the 570 for $160. How much better is the 560 than the 570? Is it worth it to upgrade to 570? The games I play are Metro Last Light, Max Payne 3, Bioshock Infinite.

If you have a bit of money, you can get a gtx 750 ti for $100-130 that outperforms a 560. If you have $160 to spare, check if there's an R9 270 for sale and overclock it. When OC'd, it outperforms a r9 270x which outperforms a gtx 580 in many situations. Also, these new cards always have more vram (~2 GB) which is needed in modern games.

The performance difference between the two should be in the neighborhood of 20%. (480 vs 384 shaders, 950MHz vs 1GHz... 25% more shaders but 5% lower clock, roughly the same memory bandwidth.)

So bang-per-buck, the 570 is not worth it unless that friend is willing to drop his price to ~$120.

Hmmm I think you're right, I'm just clueless with the GPU specs honestly, they are quite similar and I didn't notice since all I do is look at benchmarks, but damn, it's not very accurate.
