Should I Buy This Gaming Laptop?

Hey guys i am searching for a gaming laptop and have found the g550jk from Asus and just wanted to know if this was a good purchase, or if there is something better out there? LinusTechTips had a really good video on it. Thank You!

Intel Core i7 4710HQ (2.50GHz)
8GB Memory
750GB 7200rpm HDD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M 2GB GDDR3
15.6" 1920 x 1080
Windows 8.1 64-bit

I think its a good purchase as well. however for gaming you might consider getting a more dedicated "gaming laptop" so to speak like one from clevo or gigabyte

Don't expect more than low/medium on most demanding games. The GPU is pretty weak.

What do you think about the g750jm from Asus besides this?

I was looking at notebookcheck.net and it can play games at high settings, not 60 fps or anything like that, but not critically bad

I would not say it can play at high settings. I would say comfortable high settings would be 40fps+ ideally 60fps which this will certainly not do.

You will quickly find yourself lowering the settings and playing at low/medium for locked 60fps which is WAY more enjoyable than high settings at a fluctuating 30fps.
