i have 2 IBM think centre desktops 8189's . one running vista business, and the other windows 7 home premium. both 32 bit systems. both with the old intel 82865G chipset. i need to find a pair of AGP video cards for windows 7 for these 2 desktops. both have the full 4 Gb memory installed and run well except no windows games or any program that relies on the intel card to accelerate them.i have bought, and returned several PCI cards already that were garunteed to run win 7 and did not. my IBM tech(old school) recomended that I find a couple windows 7 AGP capable/compatable cards and install them to replace the old intel chips. is this possible? and do you have any that are priced reasonable that i can buy and install and actually have them work correctly? thanks you in advance.

calvin, do you know for fact that these cards will run vista and 7 32 bit in the ibm m50 desktops?8189 series? they not only need to accelerate the windows and other games, but allow aero to function as well. they both have 250 watt power supplys installed. they came with 175 watt ones. been unable to find any 300 or hight that will fit in there and have Sata power plugs and Pata as well. i did find one on ebay, and i would like to buy it but ive sent so many back . so if you have knowledge that this card will actually do the job please let me know and i'll get it. thanks !

power supply in both are onl 250's. nothing bigger for them i could find on the market. both are also combination SATA/PATA comapatable power supplies. have the connectors for both ! standard IBM power supplies that come in most of that era think center desktop towers. do you know if Nvidia Gforce GF6200-250m will work in this ibm system?

not real impressed with any AMD products anyway, so that won't hurt my feelings. my only real question is, both these desktops have the 250watt power supplys in them. will the 62oo card run properly with that power? there is no 300 watt compatable power supply to fit in these that are dual capability for SATA and PATA systems . and let us not forget, these are systems designed only for windows xp, that IBM swore that could never run windows vista or 7 but infact runs windows 7 actually quite well despite IBM/ Lenovo insistence that they wont/can't.and also these are both 32 bit systems only, they aren't capable of 64 bit operation, and the memory is DDR PC3200;4 gb's maximum . so with that information in mind. if you think this card will work in the ibm boards , i will order 2 of them from the site you supplied on ebay ! . thanks ! Bill.
