Hello!

First of all, my PSU -- http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=136

The card that I plan on getting -- http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/GTX780DC2OC3GD5/

CPU -- i7 920 D0 @3.7ghz
Kingston Hyperx ram, 6gb ddr3 (2x3gb)
Samsung 840 evo 512gb and a western digital black of 1tb
mobo is intel dx58so
oh, and a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatality.. something, whatever, what a hilariously long name..

I guess it's holding nicely, but I think my GPU (amd HD6950) is acting as a bottleneck for many games as of late, and I can imagine it getting much worse with upcoming games like the Witcher 3 etc. at least I hope it is, because if it's the CPU then I'll have to change much more. Anyway, on to the question.

Do you think that my PSU will be enough for said GPU? I checked some sites that have calculators and whatnot, and the recommended power supply was 780w ++ but I'm not sure how reliable these are, so I thought I'd ask here at good old tomshardware. :)

Yes your PSU can run the GTX 780

A GeForce GTX 780 needs 42 amps on the 12v rail and a 600 watt power supply and 2 PCIE connections.

You PSU has the proper power connections and two 30A 30A rails , so you are all set to run the 780.
:D

You have the needed 2 - 6+2 PCIE power connections.

So even at full load -- my enermax will be able to handle everything on this system? I get the feeling that it's gonna be running on edge, not sure if it's a good thing. What do you think?

Thanks for taking the time to answer everything! What remains is getting the card, hopefully I'm gonna see a big improvement in the FPS department. :)
