I purchased new RAM for my PC but I had no idea what to look for so I ended up getting CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1333 mhz RAM with a timing of 9-9-9-24.
The problem, I now realize, is that a slow speed of 1333 mhz may hinder gaming performance as opposed to faster 1600 mhz RAM (correct me if I'm wrong). Now, my question is, how much of an impact will this have on my fps in demanding games like crysis 3? And also, should I look into overclocking my RAM (if so, please tell me how). Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks!
Specs-
Mobo:GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H
GPU: EVGA Superclocked GeForce GTX 780
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge Quad-Core, OC 4.30GHZ
RAM: CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1333
(I think these are the only specs that are relevant in this context but let me know if you need more)
