HDD fails to boot?

Didn't I just write my question down?

AGAIN, for some reason:

My living room's Windows 7 PC froze up for some reason while watching some video from XBMC and I had to restart it. When it tried to boot up, it displayed some error log for two seconds and than showed the message "DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER". I tried to find a solution on Google but nothing really helped. One suggested that the boot order got messed up - I checked inside the bios and the Windows HDD is still first in order. I then tried to unplug the PC from the outlet and reattach the SATA cables. It didn't work, but for some reason now the message it shows at the end changed to "A disk read error occurred
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart"

Here's a photo of the log:

I don't know why does it show the "SMART command failed" bit as it is disabled in the bios.

Is there any chance the HDD fried up? If not, what would it might be?

Thanks in advance.

@Phillip Well, I'm not even sure exactly what this SMART feature is, but while searching for a solution I saw answers that mentioned exactly this feature and said that it's obsolete and should be disabled. One user suggested that it caused the bootup problem when it was turned on. Either way, mine was most likely already disabled in the bios' settings, but I wonder why it still shows up in the log like it tries to perform it.

Edit: Well, I'm currently not at home, but my brother told me that he booted from a Windows 7 USB and run a repair or something, and that after restart it displayed the message that Windows shut down unexpectedly (I assume when I had to shut off the PC) and after choosing to boot normal settings it's in the meantime working.

Could it be that part of the HDD got corrupted? Does it make any sense?
