from what I've found on your card it does support 4k, i don't know much about the specs of output but im guessing you would definitely need to use the display port since i know that can transfer at 10gb/s. im pretty sure only the newest hdmi supports 4k. but i also can't imagine your gaming would be too good on a 4k display

oh true for 4K you need a HDMI 2.0 port not a 1.4 port

the best thing would be to buying a much better gpu. probs a 780ti. whats a budget of a gpu for you?
it would also be good to keep the old gpu for if you have a 2nd machine or if you use dual monitors it will lower the pressure put on each card
