i have the msi 970a-g46 motherboard and i bought a fx 8320 to replace my fx 4130.. the thing is: i've been reading many forums where people say that i need the 1.10 bios version to be able to use an amd vishera cpu, so i went to the msi page and saw the bios versions list and it says that the 1.10 version adds support to the amd vishera cpus.. but i don't want to mess anything up updating the bios because i've read that i can cause a huge damage to the motherboard if something goes wrong during the update.. so my question is if i would be able to use the fx 8320 with the 1.9 bios version

Solution
Yes. But it'd be better getting a 990fx chipset mobo anyway. 970 was OK for 4130. But not enough power control phases for 8320. Especially if you ever want to overclock it.
