Hey guys, I am looking to make an upgrade and decided to build my computer with low noise this time around. I thought what better place to start then with the fans on my heatsink. Already looking into an case like the obsidian 550D or something like it.

The evo fan is noisy if you have it sideways but facing up is super quiet on that horrible stock fan. Corsair SP120 performance would be great or Noctua fans if you want to waste your whole paycheck.

Walmart tower fan for 10 bucks works better if you have the case open.

I have a 212 PLUS (prev version to the EVO), and I find the included fan as silent as can be imagined.
Running 100% in Prime95, I have to take the side panel off and stick my head almost inside the case to hear it.

Your ears may be different than mine, but I have zero prob with the original fan.

I find it very loud, not sure if its just my fan but during gaming is audible. I have corsair carbide 200r so theirs no dampening material or anything in it. Hence why I think ill grab a new case first the fractal design R4.

How would I mount them? the same as the included one with the metal bracket or is their another method?
