there are no 3pin connectors on my mobo and i need them. im confused

Use the 4 pins connectors. 3 and 4 pin connectors fit each other.
Make sure where Corsair says 4 pin you use the cpu fan header. That's what they assume is 4 pin. usually the case (or radiator) fans were 3 pin. Its now more common to see 4 pin connectors everywhere.
