Spec ops: The Line not playable at 1024*768

Title is self explanatory. my monitor doesnt support resolution higher tha 1024x768. And when i run game it gives perfect audio but display just black or blur strips(whatever u call it).
So how do i force the game to be played at my resolution. something to be written Game's shorcut target field.

Right click on the short cut, select properties, and write: xres=1024 yres=768 after the target location.

Go to the properties of the shortcut, select the compatibility tab, and try running the game in 640x480. Then you should be able to open it and change the resolution to yours in the settings.

done it. still no luck. And damn those .ini files are in chinese

Well if the .ini files are in Chinese, you really can't do much. Try deleting the .ini files (make backups though) and then starting the game.

Chinese huh? Is this a legally purchased copy of the game or a pirated version?

i tried the attributes mixed with compatibility mode in 640x480 mode and it worked. thanks Eduello.
