Computer shuts down without warning?

I finished my new build yesterday with the following specs
AMD FX 8350
evga gtx 760 superclocked
gigabyte ga-990fxa-ud3
Ballistix Tactical 2 x 4gb DDR3
Thermaltake TR2-600W PSU
Western Digital 1TB 7200RPM 32m cache hard drive

My problem is that randomly the computer shuts down without any warning and does not attempt to restart nor can I turn the power back on. I have to switch off in the back and unplug the power and wait 20 seconds in order for it to turn back on. I've looked into this problem and it appears it is likely the PSU. However, I have seen some people say it can be to processor overheat in which case my processor is idling at 41-52 degrees celcius. Also, I tried a game on it last night and was able to play for around an hour and a half without shutdown but if I'm not really running anything it will shutdown every 30 to 45 minutes. Any thoughts, suggestions?

Your diagnosis of the problem being the PSU is likely spot on. Check the temperatures though, you can use a program such a Speedfan or CoreTemp to check your temps - see what the max reported temps are.

Ok, thank you. Would a EVGA SuperNOVA NEX750B Bronze 750 Watt ATX 12V Power Supply work fine?

I'm a little hesitant to recommend the SuperNOVA 750B, your TR-2, does it have a single 50A 12V rail or multiple?

I think your TT TR-2 600 is a better design than the EVGA SuperNOVA 750B, both are made by Fortron Group. If you can find the EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 made by Superflower, then you've got a nice, highly rated unit.

I originally bought from Microcenter, but there is a Fry's and Best Buy in my area.

I think I'll push the XFX - PRO XPS-550W-SEW as a viable replacement, it is a well received unit made by SeaSonic, one of the top PSU manufacturers. Reviewed here http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=... - linked to the semi-conclusion page, a re-evaluation is on the next page
