Just installed Windows 8 on a Dell Dimensions 3100, which is running reasonably well considering the age of this PC. I have however just tried to upgrade to 8.1 to find out it's not possible due to the CPU lacking PrefecthW. I've looked for new CPUs but it seems my board is too old to support anything that is going to be much better, I'd therefore like suggestions on what CPU/MoBo upgrade I should go for. I'd like to be able to run 8.1 and future versions of Windows so the upgrade seems necessary. I've already updated to RAM to 2GB but that's the max the mobo can take. I don't need anything powerful just want something that'll allow Win 8.1 updates and allow basic computing tasks. Also I don't really want to spend a huge amount.

Here's some current specs, if you need more let me know.
