I am unsure of if I should go with 32gb of ram or not. Also suggest some upgrades to what I have selected.

Thank you!

1. Get a better name brand for SSD (Samsung or Crucial)
2. Whoever recommended a better PSU is right. The r9-290 minimum required is 750 watt! DO NOT get Cosair PSU (get a PSU made by evga, xfx, seasonic).
3. For watching movies, you are going to need a blu-ray drive! http://www.amazon.com/LG-Internal-UH12NS30-Blu-ray-Optical/dp/B00DVTBM2W/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1404747317&sr=8-2&keywords=blu+ray+drive
4. AMD Radeon is right, if you are spending that much, get the i7 instead of the middle of line i5 processor.
5. You only need 8GB memory for gaming. However, CADD and other design software may use all available RAM. So you may need the 16GB

Other than that, looks like a great build. Your GPU is fine now and for the next several years. Generally, AMD builds are better for Crossfire/SLI in that many AMD motherboards have two pcie lanes that support dual x16 bandwidth. But with a r9-290, Crossfiring would be for ULTIMATE/MAXIMUM performance! LOL

Happy Building!
