Looking for a graphics card for 1600x900 resolution.

Solution

Yes comparing a 750 ti to a 5450 is a huge upgrade. U should be able to play mmo at max settings at 50-60fps. As for your cpu you might want to change out of your stock cooler.

You honestly should be more clear in question. I mean all graphics cards can play at 1600x900. What really matter is there performance. If you mean to ask about performance, than the GTX 750 ti is definitely a good choice. It can play 45-60 fps on high-ultra settings, and it is especially good if u are on a tight budget. I would suggest getting it from here: http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Superclock-Dual-Link-Graphics-02G-P4-3753-KR/dp/B00IDG3IDO/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1404653383&sr=1-1&keywords=graphics+card
(I own a 750 ti)

I apologize, i was in a rush to go to work. I was supposed to ask if it would be a significant gaming upgrade for an old dual core i5.
I mostly play mmo's and use xbmc on my pc. It's to tide me over for 5-8 months, as i plan to build a new pc near the end of the year.
