Anyone able to help? Will this be an on going issue? Or just a one off sort of thing?

Solution
it is but look up crome is a memory hog it may be using it all and not allowing the game to assess any not saying this is the issue but I see a lot of threads that chrome is involved and some find that removing it solves there issues .. I just put it there to you to check on that.. also I run older games and get the Microsoft direct x 9 run time cause the newer windows maybe short a library it needs to run it

maybe your out of memory... you run a game that's using most all available or free memory then you fire up chrome thats not known to be memory friendly and theres nothing there for it to use and then it crashes you need to look at how much the game or chrome is using when running if one or the other is maxing you out and not releasing any for another app to run on top of it

Ok will do as you said :) I think it might be fixed or just a random thing anyway. Been a few hours and my pc seems fine :D Thanks for all your help

well the dx9 thing can help keep older games running I down load it with a new install of windows I don't use chrome seeing I really don't see any benefit from it over plain old google but I do see issues with it as showen above and why do I want something like that? [opinion]
