Should my computer run windows movie maker?

At the moment whenever i go to save a video in windows movie maker live to my computer it just lags my computer to a point that it is unusable

How i go about fixing this?
If i need upgrades i only got £80

Run a disk speed test with something like AJA Disk Speed (I've probably misnamed that but download it from AJAs site) - I suspect yo drives r too slow.

Yo RAM may also b a bottleneck - see if you can upgrade cheaply
