I got lots of old games that have that type of pop up and -x-it out and play the game also you may want to look to get the dx9 runtime from Microsoft even if max is a dx8 game.. the only game I had issues with for me is the farcry 1 on the dvd where I had to load it on a 32 bit windows and copy the file to pendrive and paste it in to the x86 on this 64bit windows. but I don't remember max having a issue.. but like I said if you just ignore the system spec. pop up and load and play the game that software cant detect this new stuff and it throws these errors... like my old battle fields just -x- out there system compatibility pop up and enjoy the game

For a gaming rig your CPU massively overpowers the GPU. when you plan on upgrading to the 4670k I would keep the 4570 and upgrade the video card instead. Atleast if this systems primary purpose is gaming.

the GPU won't bottleneck, because it can't. So he is fine with that. i agree about buying a new GPU than CPU yes

none of the games need 64 GB of RAM. 8GB is more than enough for any game, even 4GB is fine.
