I am thinking of getting a Monitor for my ps4, with that said I was wondering if I get a monitor with an

Response time: 2ms

Resoulution: 1920x1080 @ 60hz

27 inch monitor.

Now I read that getting a monitor with a high refreash rate like 120 or 144 is great, but also I will only be using this for my ps4 and since the ps4 only does 60 fps. I would think that spending the extra cash on a 120 to 144 hz monitor would be pointless.

So any opinions on this matter.

Thanks for reading and helping.

Gaming will be locked at 60 Hz but if you plan on watching video off the PS4 like streaming movies or TV shows, a higher refresh rate might look much smoother especially in fast moving scenes and sports like football and hockey. I have a 120 Hz TV with my PC hooked up to it (it is a stereoscopic 3D set) and 120 Hz makes a huge difference in TV and movies but not much really in games even if the games are running over 100 FPS which some older ones can on my rig.
