Got the parts selected out for this new build ( no PSU and OS as that is for another day).
Parts list:
Case: NZXT Switch 810 SE Gunmetal Grey
Motherboard: ASUS Z97-WS
CPU: i7 4770K
RAM; 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance Pro Red 2400mhz
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
HDD ( main storage): Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2TB 6Gb/s SATA 3 with 64MB cache
SSD ( boot drive): Samsung 840 EVO 120GB
If any of you are wondering about the GPU: gonna use this rig mainly for coding and am waiting for Q3 for the GTX 880 Series.
is this a decent build and how hard will building it be, how long will it take and how to best do cable management.
Any other PC building tips/helpful advice is appreciated
Thanks!

Yes, for those games either you want an r9 270 or r9 270x, and either an i5 or a fx 6300.
Most of the components are still pretty overkill, the motherboard for example, a M5A97 Mobo would be fine, pick the regular edition if you plan on overclocking and the LE edition if you don't.
But still, like I said, you need to give info on storage, if you plan on mid level gaming a 250gb mx100 SSD + 1tb WD Black HDD would work well, 2tb is probably overkill, but I can't tell without you saying what you want to store.

A few questions, first, what's your budget?
Second, what are you going to be using this pc for, if anything, other than programming?
If you're just using it for programming then 16gb of ram is overkill, 8gb would be just fine, an I7 is also overkill, as is that motherboard.
If you don't need to sore that much data then you could use the money you save on downgrading the components I suggested to ditch that HDD and get a much bigger ssd, a 250gb or 500gb, or go with a 250gb + HDD if you do need all the space. A 2tb drive is also very big, there is little reason to have one that big unless you are going to be installing huge amounts of games and/or things like photos and videos and music, even then 2tb is massive.

If you would like, you can tell me a budget and what you're using your PC for and I can give you a different build better suited to your needs.

are u buying this pc for gaming or video rendering ? if you are planning to do video rendering then i7 with 16 gb ram is good and a r9 270x will be fine with it and for gaming 8 gb with i5 4670k and a r9 280x....
