I know i may not have the best gamming pc but im just getting tired of GTX 550 TI i found a Radeon HD 6970 and i did some benchmarking and it looks pretty good i just want a graphics card to handle my GTA San i do play with alot of mods and that causes Frames to drop. For example here's a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-H-Ta2HgrA0 he has a GTX 650 Ti in the video. I do like to record gamplay, My computer specs are HP Pavilion p6-2310

Okay, i was looking at different options and i came across getting another cpu so i called Hp and they told me all the ones my computer can support so i was thinking about upgrading the cpu to a AMD A8-3870k Quad core 3.0Ghz would that be fine with the HD Radeon 6970? And if so which one should i install/buy first?

Probably not the answer you'd like to hear, but spending $90 on another first-gen APU isn't really a very good option. It's still a weak processor - the lure is that it has better integrated graphics than a comparable Intel chip, but if you want to use a discreet video card, that's taking away it's purchase. Your next CPU upgrade should involve a different platform ,more suited to gaming with a discreet GPU.

What GPU would you recommend me to get?
