Speakers and Headset

I just bought a USB Headset. How can I make it to where I don't have to unplug the headset to switch the sound back to my speakers? And then how do I make it to where I can switch the sound back to the Headset?

Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Right click on your sound device and choose 'set as default device'.
You can make a shortcut of it or right click on the volume controller(taskbar) and choose sounds.

Which OS? I know windows 8 you can just rt click on the speaker icon down by the clock in the sytem tray and do that.

That speaker icon is the volume controller(what i meant).

Yeah with windows 7 it will work.
Taskbar(where the clock is) > speaker icon(right click) > sounds > playback tab > and then right click and select 'set as default device' on the speaker or headset.
