I would just like to get some thoughts on the upgrade I'm planning for my PC.

Current PC:

CPU: FX - 6300
GPU: Radeon HD 7970
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600 Mhz, latency 9, 2 x 4GB
Motherboard: MSI 970A-G46
PSU: Thermaltake Smart Series 750 watt, 80 plus bronze
Case: Sentey Mid-tower, BX1-4237
HDD: Single 2TB HDD, 7200 rpm

Upgraded PC:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4970k
GPU: Radeon HD 7970
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600 Mhz, latency 9, 2 x 4GB
Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty Z97
PSU: Thermaltake Smart Series 750 watt, 80 plus bronze
Case: Corsair Graphite Series 760T Black Steel
HDD: Single 2TB HDD, 7200 rpm

Any improvements/thoughts would be great.

I would definitely wait. I recommend spending the money to upgrade the GPU (and PSU) before upgrading the CPU. You'll get much bigger bang for the buck.

Yes.

Sorry; that doesn't make sense to me. You won't get much out of that upgrade to warrant the price that you pay for it. Upgrade at a later time.

Your probably right. I wasn't really planning on getting the upgrade for about a month anyways so I could wait a little longer.

Also is your profile pic for "Boston Strong"?
