Hello, guys! I've decided that time has come to end my Nvidia Geforce 9600GSO's duty and I have a bit of a problem deciding which card to get. I've got in mind a Sapphire Radeon R9 280 Dual-X OC 3GB 384-bit priced at 272$ and the Nvidia equivalent in price is the Gigabyte GTX660 3gb 192-bit, now this question is kind of pointless since R9 280 is better and it competes with the 700 series but I want to know your opinions. I don't really have much choices as my budget is around 270$ and most of the gtx700 series and R9 280x or higher, cost over 310$ like gtx760, r9 280x and so on... and these are the cheapest ones a GTX770 or R9 290 can go well over 500$. So, on a limited budget and huge taxes and overpriced cards, I'm stuck chosing between R9 280 and the GTX660. So, what do you guys think?

Sorry for any misspellings or wrong sentences, I'm not a native speaker of English.

Well, I've looked on many online shops and 272$ is the cheapest price for the r9 280 and it is the same price as gtx 660 usually it depends on the manufacturer as the prices for both of these card can easily go over 300$. I would love if my country would have the same low prices but they just put taxes on everything and the average salary is very low too. Country is Romania, by the way.

Well, I'm going for the r9 280 as I've seen it beats the gtx760 and it's even close to the gtx770 at half of these card's price. For 1080p gaming on acceptable details I think the r9 280 will do for the years to come, and I could really use the Mantle technology as my CPU would be a bottleneck but will change it in a few months or so... I'll just have to get used to AMD as I've used Nvidia for the past 4 years or so. Haven't used AMD/ATi since Radeon HD2000 series, hope it's not gonna have any problems.
