All I'd like to know. Is this good enough to run most games on medium graphics or not?

At 1080p, no not really. Your GPU is simply too weak.

Tiny voice is right, you need to go bigger with that GPU!!!!

Perhaps a 760?

What if I replaced it with 750 ti?

That will help a decent amount and should allow solid 60fps at medium in most all games at 1080p. Some may even run at high.

I do recommend a better quality PSU though.

Looks good. That CPU cooler is better than the stock one but not enough for overclocking so it might be a waste.

Otherwise it looks good. PSU is a bit low quality,http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550s... would be WAY WAY better. and I STRONGLY recommend it.

Changed it now thanks how much would I be looking on spending for CPU cooler good enough for over clocking

Grab a CoolerMaster Hyper 212X CPU Cooler. Not sure what they are in pounds but I'd say somewhere between 15-20.

You want the 212 EVO not the other 212.

After over clocking would this have any chance of running dayz and arma 3

Yes, not anything close to max as both are VERY poorly coded games. It will certainly run them even though. No overclocking required. Overclocking is more of a hobby than it is for actual performance gains.

So do you think that the CPU cooler is necessary?

Only if you are intending on OCing your CPU.

Either of those CM coolers are good.

No, it is not necessary at all. It will not even give you any real improvement in performance as your GPU will be the limiting factor before the CPU ever is.

Ah right thanks mate I have a budget of around 500 quid so have a bit spare what would you recommend upgrading?

The GPU. Get the best possible GPU you can. It would be nice to get an r9 270(non X) if you can swing it.
