Sounds about right, I paid £120 for my HD 7850 a few months ago. If you don't mind buying used, you could pick up an HD 7970 on eBay for the same price.

As for the rest of the build, it looks pretty good to me. 16GB RAM is overkill if all you want is a gaming rig, but otherwise, it's a good build.

I was thinking about getting some parts on eBay but I'm a bit put off by the idea that parts that are used may degrade quicker.

Personally I would go for this - http://www.ebuyer.com/579359-sapphire-dual-x-r9-270x-2g...
It's a better card in my opinion. And it's got 4gb of vram which will come in very handy for games in the near future.

My revised build, how is it now? (It comes up to about £830 not including the power supply)

Motherboard - ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155

Storage - Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM

Video Card - Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 4GB Dual-X

Case - Cooler Master Storm Enforcer ATX Mid Tower

Power Supply- SeaSonic 620W ATX12V / EPS12V

830 pounds? That doesn't seem right considering you haven't included the power supply or the optical drive. Either something is way over priced or you've added up wrongly.

edit : How much are you paying for that 1TB hdd?

I'm using PCpartpicker and it says it all comes to that price, and sorry I forgot about the OD - 'Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer' for £11.74. I understand the OD isn't that important so I got a cheap one as I'll be using Steam for games.

The 1TB costs £122.38 it says but bear in mind I'll look elsewhere for better prices anyway.

Also why's that RAM better?

It's got a higher frequency but you don't really see the effects of it on gaming after 1600mhz.

Changed a couple of things, obviously its just a suggestion but it would save you quit a bit of money for basically the same performance.
I also added in an ssd for the operating software so that it boots really quick.
Also, The ram I linked you earlier doesn't seem to be on part picker so I just put something in with the same price and I couldn't find your case either.

Okay thanks buddy, I'll also try to get some used (but not too used) parts on eBay to save a bit extra.
