I am trying to decide between an ASUS VG248QE (144HZ) or an ASUS VN247H-P (60HZ) to play on an XBOX ONE. However, someone said that XB1's refresh rate will only support 60Hz, so any monitor that produces higher, will be useless...IS THIS TRUE!?

Solution
The monitor can display up to 144Hz, the Xbone can only export 30-60Hz, meaning 60 FPS. So the monitor will be fine, but it will be limited to the game Hz(=FPS cap).
If you only plan on using console games on the monitor there is no reason to go over 60Hz, it isnt beneficial. If this will be used for PC gaming, it could be worth it if you can support over 60FPs at a given time.

I would think so. If the xbox one only has a refresh rate of 60ghz, the monitor will only operate at 60ghz.
"Kinda like getting capped off at 4gb when you have 16gb with windows 32 bit."
