can i lower the temperature HELP PLEASE

my cpu runs at 55 and goes up a lot while gaming, the max temp for my cpu is like 65 degrees, and i was wondering that if i added another case fan to my computer will it lower the temp? there is a place right next to the CPU were i can put a case fan so should i do it? if so then how much lower will the temp be on average?

What kind of cooler do you have on it? and i dont think that 65 is all that high if it gets up to like 85 then you should be concerned.

What are your system specs?
For AMD 65 is the very edge of where you can be, any higher and it might throttle or shutdown.

A new cooler will likely lower temps much better than a case fan will.

If you are running at 55 C while at idle your heatsink has either come loose or is now clogged with dust. Make sure your heatsink is firmly mounted and clean out the dust and see if that does anything for you.

Depending on the quality of airflow now, it will lower it a measurable amount. (1-2)
