I had entirely replaced my obsolete computer, and when I pressed the power button all the lights and fans came on, but It refused to POST. I've tried multiple things but nothing seems to work D:

Specs:
Intel i3 4150 LGA1150 3.5 GHz
GigaByte G1.sniper.z97
GeForce GT 640 2Gb DDR3
Patriot 4Gb RAM x2
531.5W Powersupply

Do you have post codes either by internal speaker beeps or front panel lights like Dell use?

If so, the beep codes or lights will tell you the problem.

Beeps are short and long. So long-long-short could be memory problems. Short-long-short could be CPU and so on.

If you have no such sollutions on your motherboard the first step would be to disconnect all non essential stuff, all USB devices all PCI cards.

Leave it with just CPU, RAM and the Graphics card. remove the graphics card too if your CPU has a GPU aswell.

If it doesn't post then it should be either your motherboard, cpu, ram or Powersupply. (have you remembered to plug the CPU powercable to the Motherboard next to the cpu socket?)

If it does post then, you just have to connect one and one componment to the system until it won't post. Then you know the last piece of hardware you connected is the problem.
