OK, so I have had this problem ever since I built my custom PC. I have checked almost everything. Software, RAM, GPU. Everything except the MOBO and CPU. But, I have noticed that when the crash occurs, in the event logs, I get the error: "The Intel(R) HD Graphics Control Panel Service service terminated with the following error:
%%-2147467259". I also get an error: "Faulting application name: igfxCUIService.exe, version: 6.15.10.3621, time stamp: 0x5376e21a". I'm no expert but isn't the "igfxCUIService" something to do with the graphics? So I was just wondering if this could be behind the crashes.

I'll post my system details below, thank-you.

CPU: Intel Core I5-3570 Processor
Mobo: ASRock H77M
RAM: Kingston 8GB (2 x 4GB)
PSU: Corsair CX750M
GPU: Nvidia GTX 770 2GB
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Did you completely uninstall Intel graphics drivers and turned off onboard graphics in BIOS?

Uninstalled the Intel graphics driver earlier, haven't been on a game yet.

Also, BIOS only gives option to choose primary display adapter, which is my GPU.

Also use driver fusion in safe mode to completely wipe out intel graphics driver. I would also do the same thing with nvidia driver and reinstall nvidia drivers from scratch.

The solution was:

After performing a CC Clean of the drivers (back to Windows default, all folders removed etc), I used the Catalyst Control Center driver update tool to check for the best driver and download it. Problem persisted. CC Clean again.

For fun, I then used Windows Driver Update (Control Panel->Devices->Display Driver->Properties->Update Driver) and that downloaded a different version of the driver - which is actually the latest.

Cause

The ATI Control Centre driver check update tool was not downloading the latest driver for my card, it was downloading the previous one. Have raised a bug report with the ATI CC team.

Thank you everyone for your help, I am somewhat flabbergasted that the Windows Driver Update would get a newer version than the ATI CC tool.

I've already wiped all the drivers and re-installed them. Could you maybe remove 'The solution was:' as people may find it misleading and think we've found a solution.

Update: problem still occurs

Update again: I was doing a clean installation of all my Nvidia drivers and my PC crashed. It is the only time it has crashed when not gaming or after gaming..
