Suggestions for PC build

Hey guys I am currently in the process of choosing parts for my current PC here's the list:

Cpu: I7 4790k or i5 4690k
Case: Need a suggestions for a case thinking of the Corsair 760T
Gpu: Gtx 760 MSI
Mobo: Need suggestions for the mobo, thinking of going with the msi z97 g45
PSU: Corsair hx750
SSD: Samsung 840 pro 128gb
HDD: WD Red 2TB
Ram: Need suggestions for 16gb ram
OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit
PSU: Should I go with air cooling or liquid cooling, I do have a 212 evo sitting around that's never been used

Purpose: Gaming and school

Suggestions would be appreciated and thanks for any help in advanced :D

If you are using it for gaming/school, there are a lot of changes necessary. First of all, an i7 is never going to be fully utilized for gaming. The most any games eg. Crysis 3, Watch Dogs, etc. use is an i5, so I recommend the i5-4690k O/C'ed. For the case, it is almost fully up to personal preference and budget. You can also look into the NZXT H440, C70, etc., just be sure it suits your needs and supports the motherboard you choose (I recommend ATX for best all-around performance). For the GPU, I recommend an EVGA GTX 760/770 w/ ACX cooler if you are going to overclock it (I highly recommend overclocking GPU's and CPU's) but if you choose the MSi, choose the MSi custom twin frozr edition for better cooling and O/C'ing potential. For the motherboard, I recommend an Asus Maximusv VII Hero/Ranger, whichever one you can afford. For the SSD, I would swap out the 840 Pro for the 840 EVO, as it is minutely slower (only benchmarks will show the difference) but is almost half the price of the Pro. The HDD must be swapped out. The WD RED are for RAID environments, as they are more performance but more likely to fail. Instead, a WD Black 1 TB should be more than enough for most games/data. For CPU cooling, use the 212 EVO first, unless you are seriously overclocking your CPU (not recommended unless you throughly understand overclocking).

I probably will over clock my GPU for sure, and for the CPU I'm probably only gonna go up by .2 or .3 as the 212 isn't the best cooler, the Asus Maximus VII is too expensive for me so I'll still be looking at other mobos, and as for the case I'm gonna go with the Phanteks enthoo pro. I'll get the i5 and I'll get the msi twin frozr gtx 760.

No overclock, but CF or SLI, go with a Z97 extreme3.

I would not spend more than necessary on case. You can get quality cases, for not a lot of money. (Yes, I own a fairly expensive case, but I bought it refurbished for a good deal less than new. :D) The Corsair 300r is less than half the price of the 760t, and still a solid case. For GPU, I would go with an R9 290. Price/performance is pretty good right now on those. I would look at the MX100 SSD's from Crucial. They have a pretty good $/GB ratio right now. PSU is a pretty solid choice, I would consider an XFX or Seasonic 850w if you want to do SLI/CF. For ram, I use primarily G-skill. I would stick with their Ares line for cooler height clearance. The 212 evo, you already have, will work well for you also.
